On November 12, Shanghai 2022 Ocean and Coastal City Safety Graduate Academic Forum was held online. Yang Bin, Dean of Graduate School of Shanghai University, Feng Daolun, Dean of School of Ocean Science and Engineering, addressed the forum. More than 100 postgraduates from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of Technology and other universities and research institutions attended the conference.
This forum aims to promote the exchanges and cooperation between school safety science and engineering and related disciplines and their domestic counterparts, and promote the construction and development of first-level school safety science and engineering disciplines. The forum invited experts from the 726 Research Institute of CSIC, the 11th Research Institute of CSIC, Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry, East China University of Science and Technology and Shanghai Maritime University to give online invited academic presentations and exchange with graduate students. The Forum held three sub-forums, and carried out rich academic exchanges on safety issues related to port terminal operations, shipping of dangerous goods, ships and Marine construction.
The forum was sponsored by Shanghai Academic Degrees Committee and jointly organized by the Graduate School of Shanghai University, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, the Department of Safety Science and Engineering and Liu Qian 'an Whole Science Library.
