In order to further improve the level of graduate management, understand the needs of students, and guide students to actively offer suggestions for the college, on the afternoon of April 23, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a graduate symposium in the College Building 410. Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Wang Qian, part-time counselor of students, and 13 representatives of graduate students of various majors attended the symposium.
The participants discussed and communicated on study, employment, training mode, daily management and other aspects according to their own situations, and put forward their own questions and appeals. Teacher Dong recorded and answered the questions raised by the students. Teacher Dong made an in-depth analysis and clarification of the employment issues concerned by graduate students, and put forward several suggestions: Facing the current complex employment situation, first of all, we should change the employment concept, broaden the employment horizon, make full use of various resources provided by the college, constantly improve their comprehensive quality, and actively learn the required skills; Secondly, we should take the initiative to understand, seize opportunities, take the initiative to pay attention to industry dynamics, policy orientation, market demand changes and other information, actively participate in various kinds of job fairs, information conferences, online recruitment platforms and other activities, and dare to try and challenge.
The symposium provides a platform for graduate students to obtain feedback and suggestions, enhance the cohesion and sense of belonging of graduate students, help the college better understand the real ideas and needs of graduate students, and constantly promote the quality of graduate training and service management level of the college.
