On June 3, 2024, the College of Marine Science and Engineering launched the Bright HAIKER series of activities in the month of Academic style construction. This activity invited senior students Jia Anjia, Yu Wei and Shen Jiaqi to share their postgraduate entrance examination and employment experience for freshmen and juniors. About 50 students attended the event.
Jia Anjia is organized and logical. She shared her own pace of preparation and review materials. She told her students that choice is as important as effort. When choosing colleges and majors, we must collect comprehensive information and choose carefully according to our own circumstances. The process of postgraduate entrance examination is very long, but also very difficult, I hope to learn the brothers and sisters to be mentally prepared, but also must pay attention to maintain good physical health.
Yu Wei has a wealth of internship and practical experience, and has done a wonderful share with the younger students. Starting from the analysis of the current employment situation, Yu Wei reminded students that they must understand the trend of economic development and the employment environment, and must not have a job. In the process of job hunting, on the one hand, we should understand our own ability and situation, on the other hand, we should communicate with teachers and elders more; To participate in more interviews, not only can accumulate interview experience, but also can make themselves more intuitive and convenient to understand the industry.
Shen Jiaqi took how to prepare themselves for job hunting as the main line, and reminded the students that they should consciously cultivate their abilities in various aspects during the school period, including participating in societies and student organizations, or taking the initiative to play an important role in student activities. These experiences are good exercises for their abilities. In the process of job hunting, it is inevitable to hit the wall and produce anxiety, hope to keep a good attitude and don't give up.
The Brilliant HAIKER series of activities aims to improve the professional identity of students in the College of Marine Science and Engineering, inviting outstanding graduates from various majors to share real and objective learning and employment experience, providing reference for lower grade students, and helping students to better carry out academic planning and career planning.
